Write Up:After the hot days recently it almost felt chilly at the trailhead this morning (15C) but we soon warmed up as we headed up the Telephone Loop trail. Trail was in great shape with only a couple of muddy patches which were avoidable. We turned off at the 'top' and headed along the Long Distance trail. This was a beautiful part of our loop. We found a lovely spot for lunch after around 9km with logs to sit on and a wee breeze to keep us cool and the bugs off. Some lovely viewpoints along the way as we headed back towards the trailhead ending up on the short Whitetail trail to complete our loop. Stats were 16.6km with 574m of cumulative elevation. Total time was 5hr 50 on the trail with moving time being 4h20. Thanks to everyone for joining me on a lovely day in our backyard :-)
