Write Up:
We weren’t 100% certain what the trail conditions would be like, due to the snow fall from the day before. The trail received about 1-2 cms of snow – we found this snow cover, plus -3 temps ensured less muddy trail conditions for the beginning of our hike. Perhaps the snow kept some people away, as we found the hiking route relatively quiet. Beginning with Sugar Momma, we wound our way up to Bobcat, around to Fullerton Ridge and down from there to the trailhead. Just before the Bobcat trail intersected with the link to Fullerton Loop, we found a great lunch spot with some downed trees to sit upon and a view overlooking the valley. We enjoyed more views as we descended Fullerton Ridge. Reaching the bottom section of our route, any snow covering the trail had melted away and we experienced the mud that comes with spring time hiking. Ending our hike at the parking lot in just over 4 hours, we all agreed it was a great day with many enjoyable conversations along the way!
