Write Up:No rain! In spite of the forecast of "chance of a shower" in the a.m.
and "light rain" in the afternoon, we had a rain free hike---clouds,
yes, but no rain. The trail was snow free most of the way with snow/icy
patches through the trees before the big switch back where we also
encountered some snow which was easily navigated. It was dry on the top
and the temperature dropped significantly. We had our lunch tucked into
the "coxcomb of flat-topped rocks" (Gillean's words). It was refreshing,
fun and exhilarating to be up on Cox Hill today.
