Write Up:
Mild temperature and mainly sunny skies made hiking ideal. We took 1 3/4 hours to reach the top. We were surprised to find workmen tearing down the cafeteria to make way for the new facility which will open in early May. Only the washrooms were open. The views of Mt Rundle, Cascade Mt and the surrounding mountains were stunning with their fresh blankets of snow. Some of us went on to the weather station where the cold wind reminded us that winter is not far away. Four members took the gondola down while the rest of our group enjoyed a pleasantly mild hike back to the cars. We had a great group of hikers. Thanks to everyone who came out.
