Write Up:
In contrast to the crowds around Lake Louise, we had a fabulous day. Spectacular views to the west into Kootenay National Park and spectaclar views to the east into Banff National Park. The hike began with gentle switch backs ascending to a flat stretch. At 4.5 kms we arrived to the first lookout of the glacier. Strong and eagre, we continued up the trail to the right to ascend to the final lookout, approximately 1.5 more kms. Lunch was spent gazing at the wonder that is disappearing. How grateful and blessed we are to these wonders at our doorstep.
