Great hike day. The balsam root flowers were very good though some on the south slopes were beginning to fade. The deep purple-blue larkspurs were fantastic. If you sat in one spot you could easily find twelve of more different flowers. The shooting stars in the boggy are were very sparce compared to other years but this seems to be the case for other areas too.
