Intermittent showers gave us (nine hikers) practice in donning and doffing our rain gear. The trail to Grass Pass, eroded down to bedrock, was also the conduit for water making the trail muddy in spots, but not uncomfortable. The trail to Bull Creek Hills is undefined in many spots, but infrequent markers help to find one's way. We lunched at the top of one hill and did not continue to explore more hills because of the rain. However, the view was wonderful even with low cloud conditions. This would be a fabulous walk on a nicer day.
