Seven of us assembled at Assumption despite the dire rain warnings. However, it didn't rain. We parked at Middle Lake, hiked the Moraine Trail, via the campground and along the river to Whitefish picnic area. We felt a few scattered drops of rain and unnecessarily donned our rain gear. We continued on to the Many Spring loop, and took the connector back to Middle Lake. The Kananaskis Trail Report showed "Muddy/Wet" but we had hardpacked trails except for a pool of water on the trail between the start of the Many Springs Trail loop and the Bridge. Everyone enjoyed the hike.
