Write Up:The trailhead parking lot, Sentinal Day Use area, has been devastated by last year's flood and the trailhead itself is not obvious, so we drove right past it! But thanks to Barry Yee and the wonderful trail mapping software he has on his GPS, he led us right back to it! Ah technology!! We headed to Grass Pass, then up to the ridge to the west, aiming for Gunnery Creek on the other side. The route to the ridge is beginning to disappear in places and does require some route-finding. And a GPS comes in handy too!! Beautiful ridge walk filled with wildflowers and speckled with twisted limber pines. Gunnery Creek trail was dry with lots of wildflowers as well. Good group, good day.
