Seventeen hikers enjoyed a great hike to Sulphur Springs/Elbow Valley. It was ideal hiking weather - sunny skies and light breezes. There were some wet and muddy sections and one creek crossing where hiking poles came in handy. There were lots of wildflowers. Listed are most of the ones we knew the names to: mountain avens, alphine forget-me-nots, scorpion weed, calypso orchids (my favorite), paint brush, clematis, shooting stars, sticky geraniums, arnica, vetch and larkspur.
