Write Up:
On Saturday July 19 the entire 15 registered members began the hike from Fireside Picnic area at 9:00 under gray skies with spitting rain. We had to make frequent stops to allow those in the rear to catch up, but reached the pass without incident at about 12:00, with some faster members going ahead to shelter on the floor of Gargoyle Valley. Slower members ate in the pass, and descended to catch the other group. Several people slipped on greasy rocks above Edith pass, as light rain continued through the day. The entire group made the trailhead between 3 and 3:30. Marjorie Hyatt has sent photos which I will attempt to post.
