Write Up:
Mt. Lipsett is an very well travelled 'unofficial' trail just south of the Highwood Pass. It was noted by a few of us that the lower portion of this trail is getting a bit overgrown but it does open up nicely about 1/2 way up. With the 7 experienced hikers in our group today we took a few short breaks on the way up and after the final 'push' to the top we enjoyed lunch with some great views. There were no bugs at all and a very slight smokey haze to the air but overall weather was a nice low 20's with a slight breeze in the open areas. My trip stats showed 14.9 km 737 EG and 4 hr 40 min moving time
