Write Up:
We hiked to Helen Lake, had lunch and then returned. The views were outstanding, some flowers are still blooming in the meadows and the sound of rushing water at various points was exhilarating. This was a wonderful group of hikers, very accommodating and pleasant throughout the trip. There was some haze from the fires but it did not obscure an otherwise astonishing mountain scape.
