Write Up:
Nose Hill is a large north west park with numerous trails. The sky was not clear as we arrived …smoky haze. We started up the far south trail from the parking lot behind the Winter Club and it goes up. Then we headed west and went up the Brisebois Drive Hill. This took about 50 minutes from the 9 am start. Then we travelled north west and then came back across to the east side and up to the medicine wheel. Members of the Blood Tribe built the medicine wheel in 2015 as part of an annual Blackfoot Confederacy conference. The wheel takes the shape of the Siksikaitsitapi logo, which represents the Blood, Siksika, and Northern and Southern Peigan tribes, the four tribes that form the confederation. We travelled south and came down the trail that joins the stairs from the park lot. We were out for 2.5 hours. Thanks to Cindy, Deb,Julia, Ron, Keith, Loren, Ursula and Patricia for joining me this morning. We had a good outing. LM
