We had an outstanding day ! Arrival: 4 hikers carpooled from the
south, 3 hikers carpooled from the north and two drove solo. The
temperature was 5 degrees when we arrived in the park lot. We left
the trail head at 8 45 and arrived for lunch at the Upper lake at 12
20 pm. There were few on the trail going up and we met some campers
coming down. The trail was more busy in the afternoon. We had a
crossing of the suspension bridge, green lush plants and colorful
flowers, more bridges, Galatea creek sounds, blue sky and a dry dusty
trail. At Lillian Lake we stopped for a snack and then tackled the
steep trails up to the lakes. The lakes were majestic and we saw 12
sheep at lunch. There were spectacular views all around ! On return
route our guest Joan ( from Ottawa) had a dip in the lower lake. We
arrived back at 4 20. Thanks to all for coming out and celebrating a
wonderful day in the mountains. LM
