Many thanks to all you came out to do trail maintenance even if the weather forecast was not good. Here follows is the comments of Mike at The Friends of Kananaskis: Hello Terry, Thank-you for all the great work that the Calgary Weekend Hikers enthusiastically accomplished at the Canmore Nordic Centre on the 19th. Matt noted how readily everyone picked up on the various skills and tasks . I am sure that the work has helped to preserve the trail during the deluge, still going on in Canmore. We will be contacting you in the very near future about other volunteer opportunities. I will do my best to get your group on a hiking trail in the Peter Lougheed Park. It would be helpful if your group could consider some future dates when you will be available. Restoring the trails after the flooding represents a considerable challenge. Parks has indicated that there will be a considerable need for volunteers. Please lend a hand. ::: Thanks Again, Terry
