I've got to admit that this lake didn't wow me as much as I expected but the view from the top of the ridge was definitely 'WOW!' We had a steep climb for the first 2km with none of yesterday's switchbacks but there were a couple of red chairs to welcome us. At 4km some of us headed up to the ridge while the others headed down to check out the lakeshore trail. It was a short sharp 75m climb in 700m to the top of the ridge for 360 views and Abraham Lake stretched out below us. After half a lunch at the top we headed down to the lake to collect the others and then made our way back down the trail, stopping for the second half of lunch in a flowery meadow. Another big day - 9.9km, 843m cum elev and 5 1/2hrs on trail - so pie from the Miner's Cafe in Nordegg was well deserved afterwards ;-)
