Write Up:
We had a fabulous hike to Lady Mac. The weather did not look promising in Calgary as we started on our way, but though it was cloudy in Canmore we could see the sun shining on the tops of the mountains. The hike took 4 1/2 hours including lunch and we made it to the top using icers for the last half of the hike above the first main lookout an hour in. We sat on the edge of the helipad and the sun was shining on us--it was so warm we did not even layer up for lunch---the views were amazing and there were so many people on the hike. There was a snowfall that started about 1 p.m. (as predicted) but it was a wonderful day.
