We had a great turnout for what was for many of us the first "official" hike of the season. The weather was mostly cloudy with a cool NW wind blowing. The trail was quite muddy at times but we were able find footing easily and navigate to see all the sights: the Tibetan stupa, the 1940's gangsta cars, the glacial erratic, and the Gerbrant homestead foundations. There is a lot to see on this hike! We finished the hike just as it was getting dark at 8:40 pm and in the end we had covered 6 kms distance and approx 300m elevation. Special thanks to Bob for bringing along his map of the ancient archaeological sites on the slopes, and Holly for finding the not-so- ancient discarded sofa chair site. - Jim Baillies
