Write Up:
The nine hike participants were duly prepared for the possibility of a cold wet day which turned out as a mild pleasant day with only a small shower at the end of the day. The hike was a new route in the Porcupine Hills circumventing Squaw Creek and requiring some route finding. Many flowers were in bloom. There were a few glimpses of deer and many wonderful views. New members Ali, Sedi and Sara, already on their 6th hike were introduced to new flora and fauna including croaking frogs. They along with Linda McGregor, also a new member were able keep the other five veteran hikers on their best behavior. A good day for all.
