Write Up:This was a redo hike of an attempt done late in the season last
year. At that time we had snow fall and poor trail conditions and
we were only able to reach the second lake. This time we had
perfect conditions and had a fabulous day. The hike really has it
all. Cool forest walking, numerous waterfalls along the way, and
of course the lake's themselves. Lake one is nestled in a forested
canyon with a lovely waterfall cascading from the rock wall above.
Lake two is the largest and the most colourful, emerald green.
Lake three is much higher than the rest and it takes a bit of a
scramble to get there, but it's worth the effort. Surrounded by
mountain ramparts perched on the edge of a headwall, it was a
perfect place to have lunch and enjoy the glorious views. Many
thanks to all for a wonderful day in the mountains.
