This was a fantastic hike, though challenging, by the full group of 10 signed up. It is the first CWH trip to this area since the June 2013 flood damage. Left parking lot at 8:00, started at 9:35, reached trail turn uphill at 9:50, had delays by one hiker on steep uphill climb assisted by tailender, reached top of ridge by 11:00, encountered 3 herds of sheep on ridge crest with plenty of photos, lunch at peak 12:00, 12:35 descent began, 1:15 reached valley floor, 2:45 reached canyon head. Leg along valley bottom hazardous due to frequent washouts of old trails. Need nearly dry creek bed. 3:45 reached cars, after much scrambling along cliff edges and stone-hopping. Three individuals got partly submersed in King Creek. Excellent weather and fairly low water. Suggest no more than 10 go as a single group due to frequent bush-whacking in middle of trip.
