Write Up:
Plan A quickly became plan B today as the skies got ever darker and then the heavens opened as we drove south on Highway 40. Looking west towards our destination looked even worse. A quick recce at Barrier Lake info centre led to us heading back to Calgary :-( But the skies brightened so we decided to walk at Glenbow Ranch provincial park - whatever did we do before the advent of cell phones? Enjoyed the sunshine and the flowers there and our sandwiches tasted so much better than they would have at our respective kitchen tables had we aborted our day totally. Thanks everyone for being so responsive to change - and not wanting to go home :-)
