All six members signed up completed the hike as scheduled 9:30 AM May 11, finishing at 11:30. We began and ended at the east entrance of Bowmont Park off 52nd St. and Home Road, making a loop that took us over somewhat steep unpaved paths and down to the Silver Springs. Weather was warm and sunny, with the mountains being a bit hidden by haze. Prairie crocuses and buffalo beans were in bloom, and there was a nesting Osprey atop the riverside nesting site. The hike is best classed as intermediate, about 8 km. and 150 m of vertical climb.
