The original date planned for this hike was Saturday, July 14th but the date was changed to the next day because the weather did not look good for Saturday. Five enthusiastic PMH hikers joined me on an absolutely perfect weather day for what has become an annual hike to Mist Mountain Hot Springs. We arrived at the trailhead at 10:15 and started out hike up the steep trail to the hot springs. The views were spectacular at the col and we turned left to navigate the scree slope and on the the hot springs. There were three hikers already at the hot springs when we arrived and we took turns soaking in the warm water. After lunch at the springs we retraced out route back with a slight deviation from our original route on the scree on the way in. All-in-all it was a fabulous day in the mountains.
