Write Up:
Twelve intrepid souls set out to explore Cross conservation area today. The intention was a winter hike but we would have been better off with snowshoes! However a couple of snowshoers had been out yesterday so their trail determined our wanderings which we did shorten from the original write up but worked just as hard or harder in some spots (knee deep post holing) than we would have on a nice spring hike on the trails there. Consolation - a beautiful sunny (and warm) blue sky Alberta day with great friends :-)
