Write Up:
Our group, the Nimble Nine, set off from the trailhead with our packs adorned with small Canadian flags just before 10:00 AM. A dry trail was our footbed with a stretch of planks over some wet spots to test our balance just before we reached the jewel of Rawson Lake. We skirted around the side of the lake to spot a patch of past-their-prime glacier lilies and settled on our favourite rock for a reprieve. There we enjoyed our celebratory Canada lunches and pictures with the glorious snow bowl and mountain blue lake as our backdrop. Our July 1st jaunt ended at around 1:40 p.m. - a short but enjoyable mountain foray.
