Ah the lovely Johnson Lake hike... A group of convivial hikers enjoyed a wonderful hike from Cascade Ponds, around Johnson Lake and back. The temperature was quite hot but everyone fared well. The mountain views and cascading falls were spectacular. A few of us took the car to the Bankhead Interpretive walk instead of hiking the 5 km where we steeped ourselves in history. Thanks to my fellow Weekenders for such a grand day in the Rockies!
