Excellent weather. New route (leader's mistake!) took us into the Amphitheatre before climbing up a rocky path to the SE flank ... right hand-side during inbound journey. 831 m elevation gain, circa 15 km to a little over 2200 m elevation. Group of 7 started at 10.00 am, long photo session at lunch, back by about 4 pm. Glynn.
