Write Up:No problem parking at 7:45 am.
The plan was to climb to Bourgeau Lake, with an option assuming
enough bodies to split in two for those who wanted to go further.
We decided to go to Harvey Pass and were rewarded with fabulous
views including Sunshine and Mt Assiniboine. Perfect temperatures:
cool in the morning shade before warming up, although a strong
breeze at times.
The basic metrics were: 15 km & 725 m, but the extra trip to the
Pass resulted in 20 km & 1035 m. We had a second lunch at Harvey
Lake. A lovely sight and sound was a family of grouse, possibly
Spruce Grouse.
We took much longer than the Copeland's "Don't Waste your time"
book, but their description is good.
