Write Up:
Eight keen hikers arrived to venture across the Highwood River. The water wasn't very deep, as long as you crossed at the right place, but it was COLD! Hiking conditions were ideal but it was windy and cool at the pass. We dropped down to a sheltered area for lunch. On the return journey we took a sidetrip to the pictographs. We did not look for the petroglyphs. We arrived back at the Highwood River at 4:15 PM.
