Wow!! An absolutely perfect day out hiking. Seven of us headed off from the trailhead at 9:30. The weather was a bit cool but sunny and soon warmed up. The trail was in great shape and grade was quite gentle. We made good time to Upper Elk Lake and over lunch all of us decided unanimously to extend our hike to include Lower Elk Lake and then continue on to complete a loop. This added a couple of kilometres to the estimate. It was a great decision as the scenery was well worth it. We all agreed it was an outstanding hike. Thanks for being such a great group and enjoying the day with me! We logged 23.77 kilometres and 656 metres of elevation.
