Write Up:
It was a day of adventure! Once we got through the traffic on the highway due to an accident we made it to Sunshine and headed off. Weather was pleasant and all looked good. Then the clouds came over and it started to sprinkle, then it started to rain, then it started to hail, then the thunder and lightening started. We took shelter under some trees until the worst had passed and then decided to push on to the meadows. We finally made it to the meadows and the weather cleared a bit but all decided it was not a good idea to head up to the pass. We headed back and the weather seemed to improve. We got down to the parking lot, and about 10 minutes later the rain came down again. The group was great and took everything in stride and made it an enjoyable day. Thanks everyone!
