Write Up:
The temperature was ideal for our hike at Elk Pass today. The trail is in good condition and the wildflowers are still abundant and beautiful. Mother Nature certainly plants a colourful garden. The trail was very quiet and we met only 3 people, one being a gal cycling to Elkford today with her final destination being Mexico! There are Aware of Bear signs in the area but we did not have any sightings although the other two hikers we met did see a sow and her cub. However, we were a group of 12 chatty hikers which was a good deterrent, It was another great day in the outdoors shared by 12 enthusiastic hikers. Lynn
