Write Up:
The day was fabulous for the 12 hikers today. After a long drive everyone was eager to get on the trail. the pace was such that everyone was pleased. There was lots of conversation and pictures taken. The flowered meadows were resplendent in the bright sunshine. Once at the lake the leader advised that everyone should proceed at their own pace up to the ridge. We met on the ridge and had a pleasant lunch with again lots of pictures. The views were fantastic as there wasn't a cloud to be seen. We returned to the lake. As there were many hikers on the trail the whole group was given free rein to proceed down in groups of four. Then came the long dreary drive home with slow traffic, bear pictures and a little fatigue built in. Thanks to all for making the day great for everyone on the hike! Gerry
