Write Up:
It was much warmer that expected in that we started off in 11 degrees temperature. There were just a few snow patches higher up on the trail near the pass and then on the trail through the trees up to the ridge. Ridge was totally clear of snow - just windy. We found an outcrop of rock that protected us from the wind and as an added bonus it gave us a viewpoint of about 8 wild horses( including foals) below us in an open meadow.
