Write Up:
This was a good route as an alternate to starting from Barrier Lake where parking is a problem due to construction. It is gentler than the Barrier starting point, but similar. Weather forecasts for Canmore, Kananaskis and Calgary were for rain and snow, but a new website predictor, Spot WX proved more accurate: we had now rain or snow: although the trail was a little muddy in places. We did get a little wet from snow melting from the tree tops: we went as far as the Prairie View Point, not the Lookout Point and people returned happy - with lots of bird call ID from Patrick, and flower pictures. Very enjoyable. Unfortunately the prospective member could not find the meeting place, so after cell phone calls he apologized and did not join us. Glynn Wright
