The weather turned out a whole lot better than the latest forecast. We had no freezing rain or snow... Not even a drop of rain. The heavy fog that hung over North West Calgary, early in the morning, even lifted in time for the hike. So, it was a great day for a hike! The numbers on the website were interesting to watch as the forecast changed... We were as high as "Full at 15" plus 7 on the Waiting List, then all the way down to 12. With the addition of a couple new registrations Saturday, we ended up with 14 for the hike.

We started out in the Baker Park parking lot admiring the wonderful display of orange/yellow larch trees that surround the parking lot, smug in the fact that we did not have to travel all the way to Moraine Lake and Larch Valley to see such beautiful larch trees.

Thank you all for your part in a great hike, especially to Paul for being our "tail end".
