It turned out to be a great day for a city walk as it was a bit cooler this morning. In fact it was a very pleasant temperature for walking and most of the smoke haze that had been seen and smelled the last few days had thinned out considerably.

In order to avoid the crush for parking in Bowness Park and sometimes Baker Park, we tried a new parking lot today. It was the Bowness Park Overflow parking lot, which is on the opposite side of the Bow River to Bowness Park, down the same road as the Al Azhar Centre. As expected, there was plenty of parking available in the Overflow parking lot. Congratulations to all participants for actually finding the new parking lot in time for the start of the walk.
