Hello, We had a magnificent day for the Pocaterra Ridge Hike. There were, as you know two CWH groups doing the same hike 1/2 an hour a part. We met up and leap-frogged a bit until we left them (a larger group) behind. The avalanche path, just after the forest trail was stunning with the abundant cow parsnip and sorrel. One of our hikers had been through the area only 3 weeks before and they hiked through a snow field at that time. The weather held though the cumulus clouds looked a bit threatening at times. We did the hike in 5 hours which is at the low end of the Copeland's predicted hiking time. Wonderful day!!!
