You can't miss Yamunska's impressive rock face from the highway. We left the trail head at 7:50 and usually the air is " fresh, crisp and cool" but not today. We had a few sprinkles of rain on the treed trail up but I only felt three. We caught a few specks of blue sky but mostly haze and smoke. We arrived at the summit for lunch after 11 and noticed the huge cairn had been dismantled. There was no wind. It was very still. Along the front traverse new wooden signs marked TRAIL have been added. We arrived back around 2:30. We welcomed new comers on our wait list - Cristina and her son Brian and they were delightful and helpful. Thanks to everyone for coming out and conquering Yamnuska. An enjoyable day.
