Write Up:
Our small group got an early start on the peaceful Spray River Loop. Turns out that the second half of the loop was closed due to bear activity (the fine is now up to $25,000). A bear was reported on the trail ahead of us so with bear spray in hand, we walked to the bridge and then turned around and returned the same way. Lucky for us the bear we saw no sign of the bear.
