As shown in the attached photos, we came across a bear at the side of the Moose Mountain road on our way to the trailhead. He was very calm and spent time staring at us which provided an excellent opportunity to take a couple of pictures. The trail to the fire lookout is in excellent condition. A pleasant breeze kept everyone very comfortable throughout the hike.
