Write Up:
All participants (4) left trailhead at 9:15 after coffee in TV. Trail was partly muddy, weather cloudy and cool. We located the well marked trail to Little Ware just beyond the fence gate, and reached the peak which we did not climb. Meandered through numerous trails 1.5 km to a large meadow, then to the main trail on SE spur of Mt. Ware to the summit. Light rain and snow for 5 min. Lost trail beyond the cairn on the way down, found several trails to the base but were 1 km too far west, necessitating 2 fords of the low Gorge Creek. Returned 4:10 PM. The actual elevation gains and losses were probably 700 m and the distance travelled 15 km. Excellent fall color coming and going.
