Thank you to my 8 fellow hikers who joined me on my annual trip to Chester Lake to view the turning of the larch trees. The parking lot was filled to capacity as hundreds of others also wanted to see the larch trees turn colors. The trial was slippery as a result of the recent snow fall and the hundreds of hikers who packed it down. Those that brought icers had good traction, I left mine in the car, how stupid of me. Beautiful day for hiking as the sun tried to peak out between the clouds and the temperature was just above freezing at the start and increased as the day went on. Walter
