Write Up:
Cool starting our. Snow on the ground by the first waterfall. The trail has been rerouted to the north side of the creek to avoid the dreaded rope over the exposed slope. The two new bridges eliminate the creek crossings. Snow and ice on the scree leading up to the second lake made for a challenging climb. We decided not to continue to the third lake because of the icy conditions and enjoyed a leisurely lunch break in the sun before heading back. Despite not reaching the third lake, the hike was given 12 out of 10 by a fellow hiker. A fantastic day!
