The six of us loved this hike, which might be new to the CWH calendar. Only Patricia had done it previously while I have done it at least two times and therefore was very confident of the route. Nevertheless, Ray assisted with his compass to ensure we really were heading SE on the xcountry portion of the hike. The sky was quite hazy from smoke, so the views from the ridge were not as stellar as usual. The final half kilometre or so of the Picklejar Creek trail necessitated some route finding, since that section of the trail and the day use area both still are trashed from the 2013 flood.
