Write Up:
Very pleasant weather for our hike today. As we neared our lunch spot we encountered 12 or so cattle. After speaking nicely to them they finally cleared the trail allowing us to proceed. We had just settled down for our lunch when the herd appeared again. They must have been very curious as to what we were doing as they just gathered round and watched us. We all agreed this was the first time we had shared a lunch spot with cattle. It was quite entertaining.
