Write Up:
The four of us set out of the city early and there was a smokey haze over the mountains. The smoke disappeared just past the Sunshine exit. The hike started with sunny skies at 9 AM at a pleasant temperature of 13. 2 1/2 hours later we arrived at the top of the ridge. It was nice to have lunch with a cool breeze. Flowers were at their peak suffering no effect from the dry weather. We were back at the trail head at 2:15 with a temperature of 23. Lots of chipmunks & marmots to keep us entertained. We all had a great visit and a wonderful hike.
