Good Day all! It turns out that it was beautiful for the hike. A caveat is that we did the ascent early enough to make it enjoyable. Unfortunately a group of 4 had to return prematurely. It was probably a very good thing to do as I posted the hike at 436 m and 8 km. It turned out, based on the club routes, that the elevation to what I thought was the Yamnuska shoulder was 550 meters or so and just under 8 kms. So it was a quite steep ascent. Kudos to the folks that turned around and to those who completed the hike. And I don't recall seeing many, if any, people on the trail who older than our youngest member in the group. We were impressive or perhaps inspirational to others hikers :-). It turned out to be short time away from Calgary too. Thank you all for coming out to enjoy the day. Cheers, Gerry
